Lisa Hatten
Executive Director of Restorative Living
AED Academy of Eating Disorders
NEDA National Eating Disorder Association
As Executive Director, I want you to know that this type of environment works. You will find recovery if you follow in the steps of the program we have created. It’s hard for me to believe for twenty years I lived with such self - hate that my days were filled with binging and purging. There was no joy! I am living for the first time now and I am forty years old. Don’t let this happen to you. I didn’t think that I could accomplish anything although, I did dream about it. Looking back I can’t believe I survived. I put my body through so much torture in the effort to be thin. I also, am so blessed that I sought help. I am so thankful for my business and what my team has created. La Bonne Maison opened in 2006 and has been very successful so far. I have the opportunity to work with amazing women who have brought so much joy to my life. I used to dream of helping women survive this disease and now it is a realty. In closing, all I can say is you don’t have to live with an eating disorder. There is Hope! If you don’t choose La Bonne Maison as your treatment team please seek help somewhere. You deserve a great life and to be all you can be.
Hope,
Lisa Hatten

Amanda Masek
Massage Therapist
Hi, my name is Amanda and I am honored to be working at La Bonne. I am a massage therapist and I work with each girl twice per week. I struggled at a young age with my self image in general, and really strugged with anorexia and suicide. I have now been recovering for 10 years. I have always loved helping people and now I feel as the massage therapist at La Bonne Maison that I am truly giving back. I wish that a place like La Bonne was around when I was younger, girls now are so blessed to have this place and its whole staff. Just know that there is always hope.

Penny Marin
Night Staff
I am a 32 year old married mother of 4 beautiful children. I have been happily married for 13 years. Throughout my teenage years, I struggled with bad body image and low self esteem. I have been really close friends with Lisa for several years . About a year ago she asked me if I would like to come on as night staff at La Bonne Maison. I am so glad that I agreed to become part of such a wonderful program. The women who have come through this program are some of the most amazing, talented women I have ever met. It is such a great experience to see them come into this house and not be able to see how beautiful they truly are, and to then see the transformation they make while here. It brings me such joy to see them leave La Bonne Maison, and go on to lead happy fulfilled lives.

Alyssa Sunseri
My name is Alyssa, and I am proud to say that I am in full recovery from a long struggle with anorexia, thanks to Lisa's program. It has been my dream since I was a little girl to help individuals with eating disorders, and my dream has finally come true. I am no longer just going through the motions of life, I am living it, and I wouldn't change it for anything. At La Bonne Maison, I will be your live in staff, to support you through this struggle and have hope for you when you feel like you can't go on. My eating disorder could have taken my life, but I found hope within myself to go on and help others. At La Bonne Maison I found relief from the life of an eating disorder, and I am living proof that recovery is possible. My desire is that you find hope and healing, and be able to live a fulfilled life!

Ashley Scarpa RYT
Ashley was introduced to yoga through her own personal practice. She began taking classes to calm her own mind to relieve anxiety and stress. Soon, she discovered the joy of yoga. It didn’t take long for her to see that the benefits far surpassed what she had anticipated. Not only did she feel better mentally, but it brought peace and wellness to her entire body both physically and spiritually. Soon yoga became a vital part of Ashley’s life and she wanted to share her passion for yoga with others. Ashley is a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance and has completed her 200 Hour Certification in Hatha Yoga. She is also trained and certified in CPR/AED.
Ashley believes with her whole heart that everything happens for a reason. She considers it to be an honor and a privilege to have the opportunity to share her knowledge with the woman at La Bonne Maison. She believes that yoga is a wellness program for the mind, body and spirit and that everyone can benefit from this practice. In particular, Eating Disorders reveal the power of the mind over the body and spirit connection. It is a fact, that Yoga restores this balance and helps to build greater self respect and teaches the woman alternate ways of handling stress and emotion.

| Hello, I am Sabrina. If you are reading this, you are taking the first step to recovery. La Bonne Maison is filled with love, hope and life. At a very young age, up to my first year of college, I suffered from bulimia. With no insight to why I felt so depressed and hopeless, I called Lisa in desperation. When I heard her story and realized that she had been through everything I had and more, I put the little hope I had left in to her and the family she has built at La Bonne Maison. Since that day I believed that I could live a life that I would be truly happy in. I am proud to say that I have over come many difficulties in my life and I am prepared to face any challenge that comes my way. Do not be afraid to speak out and ask for help. It saved my life, and so I dedicate my time to being here for people who went through the same things I did. Believe in yourself and know that you are worth it. |

Hi there! My name is Courtney and if you are reading this, my heart truly goes out to you. I personally struggled with an eating disorder for six years. During that time, I was a collegiate athlete, however; the severity of my disorder greatly hindered my performance. I am proud to say that I have been in recovery, thanks to this program, since 2006. I will graduate from Georgia Southern University in December 2009 with a degree in Nutrition and Food Science and plan on dedicating my life to helping those with eating disorders find hope. You do not have to be a slave to food; your disorder does not have to rule your life. The dramatic change in my own life has led me back to La Bonne Maison in hopes of walking with other women on their road to recovery. I work closely with the program dietitian to assist women in adapting to an individualized nutrition plan. I also enjoy being part of the live-in staff. I know in my heart that recovery is possible because I owe my own life to Lisa and this program. The love and support offered through here can and will change your life. Get ready to TRULY start living
